This is the version where you can not add a wooden board, the diameter is too big. If you want to add a board now or later, please choose Little Betty (with caps) They cost a bit more but the wooden boards fit nicely.
New: Wooden table legs as a new standard for Little Betty. Stainless steel as an option, same price.
We have been making oil barrel furniture for more than 15 years and are incredibly happy that one of our first ever prototypes is finally ready including a door. The couch table that makes a great night stand as well!

COLORS
Please have a look at the colors tab for more info. Colors are powder coated which is the premium version of painted. The rusty finish is handmade by us before we add a layer of transparent powder coating for protection. If you have a color in mind, choose „Wunschfarbe / Custom color“ and let us know, we can provide any color of the classic RAL palette.

OIL BARRELS
Our very first oil barrel cabinet was made from a neighbor's oil drum about 16 years ago, now we use metal oil barrels from the Port of Hamburg, a mix of overproduction, A- and B- stock. All barrels never had oil inside.
OUR STORY
What started off as a weird idea for a retail shop in 2004 turned into a business with world wide customers and a concept store in Hamburg's Karolinenviertel. About 80% of our product portfolio is made from recycled/reclaimed materials, we use green energy from Greenpeace and produce products our selves to make sure the way of work and the quality matches our standards.

We want to put every day objects in a new context and create something new with a low ecological footprint and high quality of design and production.

Colors
All colors for small oil barrels
They are always powder coated which is a premium way of coloring objects. It provides vibrant colors and a long lasting life span. It’s rare but possible that the barrels have tiny dents. That is a natural part of our repurposing style of work.
The color option "rusty rings" is unfortunately not possible for our small barrels.
Copper
Copper is a structured paint coat that has a tactile feel to it. For our small barrels the price remains the same :)
Custom color
Any classic RAL color is possible. Choose the option "custom color" and write your RAL number at the end of the checkout process in the comments field. Also let us know whether you want the edges to be black or white.
Shelves
The shelves are powder coated as well for the small barrels in grey (RAL 7040) for the copper and white ones, any other color the shelves come in white.
Top of the barrels
The tops on the small barrels cannot be removed. They have two small caps which can be removed if perhaps you wish to run a cable through them.
Aside from wooden boards that can be placed on top of the barrels we also offer locks for models with a door, lights and wheel boards. You´ll find the options that work with the particular product underneath the color selection. We´ll go into detail about all our add ons here:
Wooden boards
Any wooden board greatly changes the whole appearance of the barrel. Over time we have added more and more types of wood to match all the different floorings or wood furnitures that people have in their homes.
All types of wood are triple layered solid wood with an oil coating for protection. The edges are rounded off. We use hard wax oil that's also used for children's toys.
Recycled wood
Our recycled wooden boards are made by a woodworker friend of ours who acquires old wooden planks that were used for scaffolding back in the day and carefully reconstructs them into the circular boards that fit our furniture. A very extensive process which results in fully recycled wooden boards, each one with a unique and beautifully rustic look. The recycled boards are single layered so they are not as perfectly even as the triple layered ones but still perfectly suited for anything to be placed upon them.
For every sold wooden board we plant a tree through the help of Edenproject.org oder iplantatree.org . We exclusively use european wood.
Lights
Since 2022 we started offering new lights. They cost 10€ less than the previous models, are brighter and can be placed anywhere inside our furniture for the motion senor to react. You can recharge them via USB. One light bar lights up one compartment.
Wheels
We offer a wheel board for anyone who wants to stay flexibel. They can be placed underneath the barrel where they sit tightly and can be removed anytime. If you plan on moving your furniture a lot we suggest you get the 5 wheeled version, they provide more stability. The wheels are small and are partly hidden underneath the barrel, they raise the height by about 3 cm. Their rubber is soft so don't worry about scratching your flooring, that also prevents them from moving too easily. They can take a total weight of 60 kg per wheel.
Lock
The lock is mostly used to prevent kids from accessing the bar. It can be jammed open with a credit card if you know how to. It comes with two keys.
