Description
20 years in the making, it’s finally here: we have perfected one of our very first prototypes—the armchair made from an oil drum. Featuring an anthracite seat cushion and four rubber feet to ensure your floor stays scratch-free. Available in all our signature house colors or in a shade of your choice—any RAL Classic tone is possible, just send us a message!

Add-ons
Upon request, available with a practical front opening or optionally with a door to close it back up. You can also get it mounted directly on 5 castors. We are also planning to introduce seat cushions from our own production soon.

Colors and Scratches
You can find more details on this in the "Colors and Scratches" tab. A quick overview: The factory finish "White (painted)" is the most affordable option; in this case, the inside of the backrest remains metallic. The bottom rim always has scratches, and sometimes there are very small ones on the drum itself. All other colors or your custom color are powder-coated and scratch-free. All drums may have very, very small dents—this is all part of the "repurposing charm."

Delivery Time
We always ship furniture on Thursdays and will confirm that production has started shortly after your order. As soon as we know exactly which Thursday we will be shipping, you will receive the DHL tracking number via email on the preceding Tuesday or Wednesday. If a specific Thursday works best for you, just let us know.

We have been designing and producing in Hamburg for over 15 years, using sustainable electricity from Greenpeace Energy. For about 80% of our product portfolio, we use recycled materials. You can get a feel for our products and try everything out at our shop in Hamburg's Karolinenviertel—we’re happy to help! Hamburg Oil Drums
It all started in 2004 with a metal drum that a neighbor brought over for us to make something out of. Over time, that cabinet prototype evolved into ever-new furniture variations. we source our oil drums from a factory here in the Port of Hamburg that usually produces drums for oils and fats. Our drums have never contained any liquids; they are a mix of overproduction, new, or B-stock items.
